Personal Care
This can be, by supporting and encouraging an individual to wash and dress themselves independently in order to become fully independent or by developing a support plan to incorporate the development of new skills and/or setting goals. We also support individuals to eat and drink and we can prepare meals hot or cold. We can support individuals to shave, take medication, get in and out of bed and all aspects of toileting needs.
We work hard to develop relationships with other family members and friends; this is to enable person centered care. We need to know our service users needs, preferences and strengths. Individuals who use our services should have the opportunity to make informed decisions about their care and treatment. This is crucial as it ensures that people are treated with dignity, compassion and respect.
Our carers follow the principles of the 6Cs:
All of our individual needs change on a frequent basis, we understand this and change support plans to reflect this on a regular basis.
