Gloucester Homecare Services are small local employer that offers family friendly hours to the right candidates.
We offer our services between the hours of 7am and 10:00pm Monday to Sunday. We also incorporate travel time into our rotas and pay generous travelling expenses.
We have casual staff that work the hours that suit them best without having the full employment commitment but also give them the same benefits as if they did. We believe in our staff and encourage them to learn, as this is a fundamental part of life. We encourage our staff to develop new sets of skills, which will be invaluable through their career as carers. We offer a full in house induction package to include the Care Certificate plus other valuable courses to assist you in your own personal development.
Carers find this job very rewarding and often talk about the job satisfaction they get. If you are ambitious, there are very many opportunities within this sector to go far. Available to our care staff are QCF Diplomas up to a level 5. We also encourage our staff to participate in accredited training, along with the Care certificate and QCF, these courses are industry recognised and can be transferred to other employers. We provide everything you need to carry out your role as a professional carer including a DBS and uniform. All we ask in return is that you are honest, reliable, kind and considerate and dedicated to making a difference to the people that need you most. Long gone are the days where people would say, “she’s only a carer” This is a well-respected profession that can be demanding but it is very worthwhile. To know you have cared for somebody and made a difference to his or her day can bring such personal reward. Just to hear a person say thank you, goes a long way.
